On Fathers Day weekend, my wife Diane bought me a membership to a local fitness center. We felt that it was time for us to get back into shape. I had no idea how far out of shape I really was until I hit the treadmill for the first time in twenty-five years. After a few weeks of seeing no improvement in my 57, 199 pound body, I felt it was time to talk to the personal trainers. After visiting with the trainers I made the decision to sign up for personal training, three days a week for thirty minutes per session, starting right after the Fourth of July weekend.
I was very skeptical going into the one time nutritional evaluation portion of my training, as for years, Ive been told to eat right and exercise so I could live long enough to meet my grandchildren. I remember Scott and Jake being very professional, not rolling on the ground laughing at me, when I stepped onto the scale only to find myself ¾ of a pound short of 200 lbs. and with my body fat at a whopping 27.7% and with a waist just shy of 40. I know this one time Junior Olympian and Nurse, was completely in a state of shock over these statistics. I was very happy that Diane was there with me. We learned together a great deal about nutrition, not only what to eat but the biggest surprise to me, was when to eat. This was not just a One Time Nutritional Evaluation, the team of trainers as well as my wife; continually encourage me on good and bad days.
My wife and I could not praise or thank Zak Martin enough for what he has done for me. I am starring my ninth month of training with Zak and I could not feel any better. My heart rate and blood pressure are now in the normal ranges. This Body of Change has positively affected every aspect of my life including business relations as well as my personal relationships. In the past nine months I have lost 13% of unwanted body fat, 49 ¾ pounds, at least one chin and 15 ¾ inches overall, Diane likes the fact that nine of those inches lost were off my belly. I like the muscle gain of 1 ½ inches in each of my biceps and the 2 ¾ inches in my chest and shoulders. I now have more energy than I know what to do with, this will be most helpful as we have just learned we have two grandchildren on their way due in August and September and now I will have the privilege of spoiling them rotten.
Again, I dont think there is any real way to thank Zak Martin and Body of Change enough for the effort he has put in to molding his fat old man back into shape. My wife and I are now enjoying a more active and rewarding life together.

I would like to take this time to thank Steve and Body of Change for working with me for the past twelve weeks, helping me reach my fitness goals. Steve is very knowledgeable, encouraging and patient, and was willing to listen to me when I had concerns. There were days when the last thing that I wanted to do was go to the gym and work out, but I knew if I skipped out I was only cheating myself, and I also knew that Steve would be there to encourage me. Steve always had a work out plan just for me, a plan that would help me to meet me personal weight loss goals. Not only did Steve personalize my work out, he taught me how to eat right.
Before I started working out, I had low self-confidence, very low energy, and I didnt believe that I could change. I always felt BLAH! Now, I have a high self-confidence because I have lost inches and pounds, and I have a lot more energy than before. There are times now when I bounce out of the bed at 5:00AM because I have so much energy, and I dont require as much sleep as I used to need. I now wear smaller clothes! I was able to buy a pair of jeans and a shirt two sizes smaller; that was the best shopping trip ever. I was so excited to be trying on clothes and have to keep going back to find a smaller size. I am also a lot more toned in my arms and legs and I dont feel as though I have a ton of skin just hanging off me.
If you are reading this letter and you are thinking that you could never do this, YES, YOU CAN! I have changed my eating habits and I am now working out five days a week doing cardio and weight training. However, I would not have been able to do that, had I not started working out with Steve. Steve and all the trainers with Body of Change are wonderful. They truly care about the people they train. They are willing to do anything that they can, to help you have a healthier lifestyle. With the knowledge that I have gained, from Steve, I know that I am able to make better choices in the food that I eat and I am able to have a healthier lifestyle.
Thank you Steve and to the trainers with Body of Change. Without you influence I would not have made the changes that I did. Thanks for believing in me, when I didnt believe in myself. You guys ROCK!

I have been working out with your trainer since August of 2002 and wanted to tell you how terrific I find your program to be, as well as comment on the results I have seen. I have been working out off and on at the gym for many years, and several years ago, I was really in great shape. However, like so many other people, I just got to busy with life and lost many of the good habits I once had. I continued coming to the gym sporadically but I really did not see any results. Also, when I came to the gym, I would only do whatever I happen to feel like at the time and rarely pushed myself.
Last summer, I saw the invitation for a free training session and decided to try it. After that introductory session, I knew immediately that it was what I needed to get back to where I wanted to be. I set a six-month goal and signed up. The training sessions have to very successful for me for a multitude of reasons. My trainer Mike Barker, is very professional and motivational. The very fact that I have an appointment to work out with him gets me to the gym. The work out sessions are focused to get in a really effective work out in thirty minutes or so and I therefore, I save a lot of time. The workouts are varied so I dont get bored and each one is specifically geared toward my own personal needs. In fact, Mike worked out different exercises to accommodate a couple of prior injuries I had. One other aspect I really like is the way Mike encourages me, but yet he doesnt make me feel humiliated if I am having a weak day.
Mike also helped me develop a diet for my own personal needs. It is really easy to follow, and I feel so much healthier on it.
I am on track to meet my goal. I have lost fourteen pounds, while building muscle tone. My physical stamina is much longer than I ever recall it being. And, for an added bonus, I no longer suffer from the constant lower back pain which I once did now that I have strengthened my abdomen muscles! I have really enjoyed your program and am truly seeing my own Body of Change.

I recently made the commitment to get in shape and loose those extra pounds that have been building since I had a baby in 2001. I had tried all the fad diets in the past and maybe lost 10 pounds, but would always gain it back plus more! I enrolled in a gym, but found myself paying a monthly fee for something I was not even using. I thought all hope was lost, but then I found the personal trainers with Body of Change. I can tell you honestly, I thought I was getting suckered into another contact, and would end up dropping out, and paying for something I wasnt even using. But that never happened!!
I started out slow in January 2005 at a fitness center in Peoria, Arizona with 6 sessions a month. I tried three different trainers to see whom I worked with the best. My third trainer Will Osredkar (I hoped I spelled that right) was kind and understanding and I was immediately impressed. He sat with me and listened to my concerns and goals, reviewed my eating habits, helped me understand the difference between good and bad foods, and when to eat these foods. Will Osredkar has become a support system for me and is very consistent with asking how I am eating, and if I have any questions. He has shown me how to work with almost every piece of equipment in the gym, including free weights, and how to use all of these properly with out the risk of injury.
I am happy to report that even though my weight loss has been slow, I have lost 7 pounds and one pant size. I have noticed slimmer legs and arms, and cant believe the difference in my stomach! I have recently upped my session to three times a week because I am so thrilled with the results. I owe it all to my trainer Will Osredkar, because without him, I dont think I could have committed myself for this long.
Thank you Body of Change for employing courteous people, and for caring about the health and fitness of others. It is greatly appreciated.
